I've used this illustration before but it bears stating again - stalls occur at different point in time and at different positions throughout the wing of an aircraft. It is not as though the wing stalls all at once. The stall spreads as airflow is diminished.
Watch the whole thing and yes, I agree it is about as exciting as watching paint dry or grass grow.
