Pheasants that I shot last week are in the 'fridge defrosting. The carrots, celery, yellow peppers, onions and mushrooms are in the cast iron dutch oven on low heat soaking in some cheap ass white wine. The truck is packed for a Thanksgiving Day pheasant hunt at Carlyle and a certain puppy dog I know that has a big nose and floppy ears is itching to go. And Thursday, there will be Packers and Lions playing football. With any luck, I'll catch the game on the radio while driving home and smoking a cigar.
