Sacrifices Are Necessary to Appease The Housing Gods

Evidently, the FHA has decided that adhering to a few principles is just a tad too expensive at the moment.  Sometimes, it is necessary to throw a few individuals under the bus to "save" the larger population.

"The ban against flipping was initially put in place to prevent predatory flipping, in which homes are quickly resold at inflated prices to unsuspecting borrowers."

But wait... there is a rule....

In order to qualify for the waiver, certain conditions must be met. The transaction must be "arms length" with no other relationship between seller and buyer.

Fantastic!  What could possibly go wrong?

Color me unimpressed.  The continuation of the waiver is the equivalent of a moron putting asbestos curtains and drapes on his or her front living room window while there is a lint induced clothes dryer fire in the basement that came about as a result of the moron’s own stupidity and laziness.  In the long run, the only person it helps is the asshole who sells asbestos curtains and drapes.
